Breast cancer continues to be the most common type of cancer in Canada.

In fact, it’s estimated that 75 Canadians were diagnosed with breast cancer every day last year, according to the Canadian Cancer Society .

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a chance to spread awareness and support for breast cancer research. And, in honour of the month-long initiative, many brands release special-edition pieces that see a portion of the proceeds donated to the cause.

Here are four favourites.

Beauty bounty

Beauty brand Estée Lauder is back this year with a curated collection of products that benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Among the release is this Brave & Beautiful Kit, which includes five skin and makeup products including the Estée Lauder Resilience Multi-Effect Creme and the Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion — all packaged in a cute pink camo-print pouch with a matching eye mask. In support of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, the brand will donate the full purchase price of each kit, with a maximum donation of $582,000, to the foundation.

Sweat sesh

Fitness brand Peloton Apparel has launched a capsule collection in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The release, in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, sees 20 per cent of proceeds from the sale of the designs, up to $30,000, donated to the foundation. Among the collection is this stylish animal-print top, which is sure to add a dose of wild side to all of your workouts.

Arm candy 

American jewelry brand David Yurman recently revealed its 13th-annual partnership collection with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The selection of pink pieces includes earrings, bracelets and necklaces, along with two new styles: a 10-mm Renaissance Cable Bracelet in aluminum and pink acrylic and a slimmed-down Cable Bracelet in pink rubber, which will see full profits from the design donated to the foundation. The broader collection designs see 20 per cent of sales donated. This year also marks the launch of The David Yurman Award for breast cancer research, which sees $250,000 awarded to a researcher in the field. The first recipient is New York-based scientist Dr. Haley McDaid.

Lip love
