The MVP pick: With the arrival of cooler weather, I switch to more nourishing skin care — but my oily, acne-prone skin can’t handle a heavy night cream. EVRĒDĀ Oiliness & Breakouts Night Oil is the perfect final step in my nighttime skin-care routine, a blend of jojoba, black cumin and sea-buckthorn oils that hits the sweet spot of delivering a comforting shield without overwhelming my pores. It also contains lavender and neroli so it smells very earthy and soothing! The entire ritual of pressing a few drops of it onto my face before bedtime helps me to decompress.

The pro: Sara Harowitz, editor-in-chief of Natural Habitat magazine.

The MVP pick: Call me a traditionalist, but I don’t think there is anything more classic for fall than jeans and a good T-shirt. The Women’s Essential Crew tee from Kotn is ethically made with the softest cotton jersey material, and I am digging this new Seafoam colour for something a little different.

$35 |

The pro: Maria José, content creatore at @aglimpseofmaria.

The MVP pick: A button-down dress shirt is a lazy girl’s fall fashion hack because, chances are, it’s already in your wardrobe. I love the button-down for its versatility. In a neutral colour like a cream or white, the button down is a blank canvas for many polished looks. One of my favourite aspects of fall fashion is getting to play with layers. Paired with a set of bike shorts and a blazer or worn under a printed, cropped vest and trousers. This staple piece gives you endless layering combinations.

$148 | Nordstrom,

The pro: Noa Nichol, editor of VITA magazine.

The MVP pick: I recently acquired my dream bag, a preloved Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Cabas Alto, and now feel compelled to pair it with an equally stylish wallet. The luxury label’s Zippy Wallet, made from Giant Monogram Reverse canvas, fits the bill — and all my cards and coins too. Its oversized LV initials and Monogram blossoms bring a burst of fun, plus the print complements my beloved bag without being overtly matchy-matchy.

$1,140 | Louis Vuitton,

The pro: Cam Lee, content creator at @camleeyoga.

The MVP pick: These booties are at the top of my list for fall must-haves! As the leaves turn and summer drifts away, I trade in my flip-flops for ankle booties that can withstand the fall weather and are versatile enough to match up with so many of my outfits. Whether it’s dresses or jeans, I can dress these comfy booties up or down with ease. They’re the perfect fashion staple to add to your fall wardrobe.

$175 | The Latest Scoop,

The pro: Renée Tse, freelance writer and editor at @tseparfait.

The MVP pick: When it comes to shopping for my next bag, I’m such a classic black-bag girl, but every so often a really good statement bag will catch my eye and make me throw all those practical thoughts out the window. With doors finally starting to open up and we’re slowly coming out of our COVID lockdowns, I’m ready to have a little fun in the bag department. And I’m not the only one who thinks so. Sparkly, metallic bags are a noticeable trend on-and-off the runway this fall 2021 and this little Chanel classic bag checks all the boxes. From casual looks like a white T-shirt and mom jeans to a glam LBD, this sparkly silver bag is versatile for both my day and night looks. I’ve never been more ready to make a head-turning statement wherever I go.

The pro: Erin Sousa, content creator and brand strategist at @sousacreativeco.

The MVP pick: This French-Terry Sweatshirt Midi Shift Dress is a fall staple that I’ll be wearing non-stop! It’s the perfect foundation piece — so comfortable — and will literally go with everything in my capsule wardrobe. It’s so good, I went back and bought two more!

$49.99 | Old Navy,

The pro:Julie Cusson, makeup artist for Chanel.

The MVP pick: My MVP this fall is a powerful balm that is a multi-use skin care product. This balm revitalizes, nourishes and transforms skin texture. The precious oils and hyaluronic acid improve radiance and the evenness of the skin, resulting in an absolutely flawless makeup application! This is my new go-to for my fashion and beauty work. Sublimage La Baume can be applied during the day to hydrate and protect against external aggressors and at night as a mask or anti-aging treatment.

$490 |

The pro:Jade Pattenden, model and actor.

The MVP pick: I love the Rose Otto Sugar Face Polish from the Vancouver-based brand Penny Frances Apothecary because it exfoliates and moisturizes your skin at the same time, while smelling incredible. Extra nourishment is essential in the fall-winter season for me. Whenever I use it, people always say I’m glowing — and I owe it to this product!

$60 |

The pro: Vicki Duong, writer and content creator at @vickiduong.

The MVP pick: After a long year and a bit of WFH, I’m not ready to give up my loungewear essentials. I adore the raw silk The Weekender Set from Sunday Catalogue. It’s ideal for lounging at home or running errands. The silk has a natural slubby texture and can be machine-washed. The modern silhouette boasts an elastic waist and scrunchie-style straps for an ultra-comfy fit, plus it’s ethically and sustainably made in Vancouver!

$310 |

The pro: Boyu Ba, content creator @boyuba.

The MVP pick: You can never go wrong with a classic black turtleneck. I love that a piece like this Stretch Cotton Turtleneck from Uniqlo is easy to style and layer. You can pair it with jeans, skirts and even underneath a sweater too.

$14.90 | Uniqlo,

The pro:Randa Salloum, sustainability enthusiast.

The MVP pick: The Amber Blouse in Zebra from the Vancouver-based brand Abel Wear fights poverty with fashion for community economic development.

$165 |  Abel

The pro: Cee Fardoe Title, editor of Coco & Vera.

The MVP pick: Rouje’s Celeste Ankle Boots have been my go-to style for two fall seasons already; the heel height is perfect, the style is timeless and the leather quality is just gorgeous. Since I love them so much, I’m planning to pick up a brown croc pair this fall to add an extra dose of vintage Parisian chic to my outfits. They’ll pair perfectly with jeans, dresses and, of course, my favourite coats.

US$319  | Rouje

The pro: Emma Cavanagh, content creator at @emmairenecavanagh.

The MVP pick: I love the versatility of the Comfy Convertible Jumpsuit from the Canadian brand Encircled. The straps are adjustable so you can style it multiple ways depending on what you want to pair it with. Leave the straps as is and pop a cropped jacket over top, or opt for a criss-cross at the back and layer with a light blouse underneath. It also features a hidden elastic waist making it ultra-comfortable, while adding a really pretty silhouette.

$184 | Encircled,

The pro: Jill Dunn, freelance beauty expert on The Marilyn Denis Show and co-creator of Breaking Beauty Podcast.

The MVP pick: These single-use retinol peel pads, created by dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross, are like an “undo” button for all of the skin sins I committed this summer — roughness, dark spots and more from too much sun, oops! I’ve been a longtime fan of Dr. Dennis Gross’s iconic Alpha Beta Peel Pads, but I would say his latest offering is more targeted for anti-aging. Each retinol “round” is pre-drenched with two forms of retinol that are buffered with moisturizing ingredients like squalane and antioxidants like ferulic acid so there’s zero skin irritation. I massaged the peel pad all over my face and chest at nighttime, followed by my favourite moisturizer, and, voila, the next morning my pores looked smaller, my redness was calmer and the dark spots on my forehead, and the acne scars on my jawline, were less obvious. The price is a bit of a drawback but I was hooked on the instant results.

$103 for 16 pads | Sephora,

The pro: Jessica Concannon, blogger at @WestmountFashionista.

The MVP pick: With every change of season, I revaluate my skin-care regime based on my seasonal needs and address any new concerns or issues. The French brand Biologique Recherche is always at the core of my skin-care routine. There’s a reason it’s such a cult favourite, it’s highly customizable and highly effective! For fall, I’ll be adding in their newly launched Liposmose Serum. It’s perfect for targeting puffiness and congestion under the eyes and bringing brightness back to the skin.

$126 | Biologique Recherche

The pro: Alicia Winnett, writer and content creator at @aliciafashionista.

The MVP pick: This fall I’ll definitely be wearing these simple but beautiful twisted gold hoops on repeat. From loungewear to the office and beyond, they seriously go with everything!

$24 | Modu Atelier

The pro: Vicky Milner, president of Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA).

The MVP pick: I love this Nori coat by Mackage because it’s high quality, timeless and goes with everything. Super-stylish with a tailored fit, it’s the perfect transitional outerwear piece for fall.
