Lala Kent focusing on beauty bran after Randall Emmett breakup
Lala Kent’s heart is safe inside her expanding beauty empire.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six Style, the “Vanderpump Rules” star, 31, explained how her Give Them Lala Beauty brand is helping her cope after splitting from ex-fiancé Randall Emmett this fall.
“The Give Them Lala brand is something I’m so proud of and passionate about,” said Kent, who entered the cosmetics industry in 2017.
“We sell on social media, so in order for me to continue to build the brand, I can’t sit around and wallow in emotion. I have to get on with my day.”
The single mom — who welcomed daughter Ocean with Emmett, 50, in March — added, “My 9-month-old doesn’t care about what’s going on in my personal life.”
Kent admitted that she too is starting to feel apathetic about her breakup with the movie producer as she funnels even more time and attention into her business.
“Honestly, I don’t care much about what’s going on in may personal life. I’m just ready to move on and take on the world. I want to take it over,” said the self-proclaimed “workhorse,” who also hosts her own podcast and released a memoir in May.
“Whenever I’m feeling like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is too much,’ I go back to what I’m passionate about. And that’s my brand and what I’ve created in a very short period of time.”
Kent called off her three-year engagement to Emmett in October after he allegedly cheated on her in Nashville.
Since then, the Bravolebrity has only increased Give Them Lala Beauty’s range of products, including holiday-inspired palettes and more skincare options.
“I’m very proud of it,” said the businesswoman, who also produces a baby apparel line, Give Them Lala Baby.
“And nothing is going to knock me off of my hustle. Not even a relationship gone bad.”
Kent said that she hopes to eventually pass down her company — as well as her passion for financial independence — to her baby girl.
“With the business, I hope to leave her something incredible one day. I want to build something for her to take over,” said the proud mom. “And hopefully she’s interested in the things that I’ve created.”
But, “as far as moves I’ve made in my personal life,” Kent elaborated, “I hope that [Ocean sees them] and knows her worth and how to be strong and independent and know that if you’re not happy or you’re being mistreated, that you get the f—k out. I want her to see that strength.”
“Vanderpump Rules” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
