Farfetch Launches Beauty With Some of the Best Brands

Farfetch may be your go-to retailer for a new designer bag or dress that you’ve had on your wish list for quite some time. I know my cart fills up when I peruse the site. Now it will fill up even faster, because Farfetch has added beauty to its roster.

Earlier this year Farfetch announced the acquisition of beauty retailer Violet Grey, home to such brands as Ami Colé and Augustinus Bader. Today, April 20, the luxury retailer launched its own beauty destination, Farfetch Beauty, which became home to more than 100 beauty brands. These include La Mer and Charlotte Tilbury as well as more indie lines like BeautyStat and Nécessaire.

The new curated beauty destination — which includes makeup, skin care, fragrance, and bath products — is more than just a shopping hub, however. Farfetch wants to be a community for everyone of all ages, races, cultures, and genders. That’s why it created the Beauty Global Community Platform. Led by a collective made up of industry experts and professionals, like dermatologist Dr. Michelle Henry and makeup artist Erin Parsons, the network is free, and once you begin to share beauty tips and advice, you’ll earn points, which get added to your account, and it will help you secure exclusive discounts and sales.

Needless to say, it will also be driven by my coins, because it’s rare to find all my favorite fashion and beauty brands (especially luxury ones) in one place.

Here are some products you may want to add to your cart to celebrate the launch.

This cream is worth every penny. It’s a cult favorite that is blended with vitamins and molecules to nourish the skin. It leaves me with a smoother texture and instant radiance, and it has a long shelf life.

Our bodies deserve the same love we give to our faces. This body serum is my favorite post-shower skin ritual because it hydrates and renews the skin. It truly got me through the brutally dry winter.

This spicy blend of vanilla and woody notes smells like a huge hug bottled up. It’s warm and toasty. No need to layer it, because the fragrance is strong all on its own.

Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Darker Skin Tones line is the holy grail for every Black woman, myself included. This plumps and hydrates the skin for all-day hydration and nourishment.

If I had to choose one skinlike luxury foundation that can’t stay off my shelf, it would be this one.

La Mer’s soft cream is a winter must-have to lock in moisture. As the weather warms up, though, I love to transition to the brand’s cool gel cream, because it has the same moisture without the heavy texture.

I don’t think there’s an overnight product that has treated my hyperpigmentation the way this one has. Its formula merges mandelic, lactic, and salicylic acids with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide for an overnight miracle that evens and smooths the skin.

Gucci’s nail polishes don’t require more than one coat. The bottle is also incredibly chic. Who wouldn’t want to wear its colors all through spring?

This foundation is known for its lightweight application and the natural radiance and luminosity it gives to skin.

A voluminous mascara that leaves no clumps is always going to be a winner for me, and this packaging is sleek and feminine.

The blend of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and CMH repair complex works together to de-puff and brighten the under-eye area. I love using it to renew my skin over a relaxing weekend.

Speaking of de-puffing the eyes, this eye mask from 111Skin Sub-Zero is a must post any flight, because the cooling hydrogel seeps into the skin for immediate hydration.

Guests will be wanting to leave your house and take the soap with them after one use of this aromatic wash.
